Happy Thanksgiving...

BBQ Friend:

Well, the Holiday Season is upon us and I'd like to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving. Don't forget to smoke those turkeys again this season! Here's tsmoked turkeyhe smoked turkey directions if you haven't seen them already. My Mom's pumpkin pie recipe is on that page too. And remember... you can use that leftover turkey in the BBQ Hash recipe if you get tired of turkey sandwiches.

As we all know, the holiday season can be a little stressful, so I put together a video with some soothing shots of of a mountain stream and a waterwheel. There's nothing like the relaxing sound of a mountain stream or rainfall to drive the stress away. Some of my best pictures of the Smoky Mountains are included too.

This video is set up to loop continuously, so it is possible to play it on a smartphone or tablet next to your bed that can play Youtube videos on. Hit "fullscreen" in the bottom right corner of the video to expand it to fill your smartphone screen. It should continue to play while you sleep soundly and all your troubles float down the mountain stream...

This is a video of the National BBQ Cup in Cumming, GA. Included is the whole awards ceremony and my turn in boxes at the end. I hope you enjoy these two videos and get a early start on your holiday shopping in our BBQ Store. For the BBQ lover in your life, we have championship rubs, thermometers that have been selected to work with slow smoking, books, and videos too. Speaking of videos, I plan on making the BarbecueCoach.com videos available on DVD for individual purchase next week, so be on the lookout for that email notice...

Happy Thanksgiving,
Bill Anderson

The Rocky Mountain Products Southwest rub is what we are using this year. Many teams have already won a Grand with it. It's the best "all around" rub I have ever tried. Especially good on brisket. I hear it's even good on scrambled eggs!...
